Report: Senate Speaker: COVID-19 shows healthcare reform needed

MOSCOW, Apr 24 (PRIME) -- The coronavirus pandemic has demonstrated the need in reform of the compulsory healthcare insurance system, Speaker of the Federation Council, parliament's supreme chamber, Valentina Matviyenko, told channel Rossiya 24 in an interview on Friday.

"Have you heard about work of the insurance companies now, amid the coronavirus? Those that work in the compulsory healthcare system. The system is very formal," Matviyenko said.
